The Famous 5 Foundation’s Leadership Lunches were launched on Oct. 18, 1996 to bring women together to plan the celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the "Persons" Case on Oct. 18, 1999. In 2004, Enbridge became our title sponsor. The Famous 5 Foundation is proud to continue to partner with Enbridge to present our 14th Annual Speaker Series featuring five dynamic and engaging women.
Susan Brown is the Senior Vice President of BMO for the Alberta and Northwest Territories Division. She is responsible for the financial services the bank provides to its personal and commercial customers in this marketplace.
Susan has been with BMO for 22 years and has worked in several markets across Canada. Her first executive appointment with BMO was in 2001, as Vice President, Saskatchewan District followed by roles as Vice President, Calgary District and Senior Vice President for Ontario Regional Division, and Senior Vice President, Southwestern Ontario Division.
Susan serves on the Boards of Northstar Trade Finance Inc. and Heritage Park Society, having previously served as a Board member for the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation, THEMUSEUM (Kitchener), Canada’s Technology Triangle (Waterloo Region), the Chamber of Commerce (Calgary), Saskatchewan Children’s Hospital Health Foundation (Saskatoon), and St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation (Saskatoon). Susan is also on the Board of the Calgary Stampede Foundation.
She was named a Women's Executive Network (WXN) 2016 Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winner. Susan has also been recognized as one of Saskatchewan’s Women of Influence and a YWCA Woman of Distinction, and attended the University of Manitoba, where she completed both a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Master of Business Administration.
